A sound that reclaims the periphery as a space of creation, a crossroads of identities, and cultural resistance.
With only three years under their belt, the young quartet has released a studio project, a live album, and this spring has just released their second studio work, "Folk d'extraradi". They have stepped onto more than seventy stages across the Catalan territory, with the intention of conveying their way of understanding and living folk music: from the periphery and from the struggle.
LAIA GLÜCK
Laia Glück (El Prat de Llobregat, 2004) graduated in 2022 with a Professional Degree in oboe from IEA Oriol Martorell, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in traditional shawm (gralla) at ESMUC (Catalonia College of Music). She also trained at EMMCA and attended the Folk Summer Camp for Young Performers organized by the Escola Folk del Pirineu from age 10 to 18. In 2025, she was awarded a grant from the Programa d’Impuls.
Currently, besides Trèvol, she is a member of Filomena—a family folk music project (“Tradi per Xics”)—and appears on La Renaixença, Peyu's TV/cultural humor show, where she speaks and performs the gralla live. She also plays with MÚSX, a traditional music ensemble accompanying festive street imagery, as well as with formations such as Ministrils del Camí Ral, OMAC Juvenil, Mini Strils de L'Hospitalet, and Banda Provençana de L'Hospitalet, among others.
She has recorded with both instruments on albums by artists including Xavier Batllés, Jaume Sisa, Miquel Pujadó, Obeses, El Pony Pisador, and Cris Juanico. On oboe, she has been a member of JOSV and JOC, and continues to participate in classical music projects as well as occasional Arabic and Eastern Mediterranean music initiatives. She also teaches gralla at the Escola de Música Centre de les Arts de L’Hospitalet (EMMCA).
LÉONIE MARTET
Léonie Martet (Saint-Laurent-de-la-Salanque, 2002) graduated from the Perpignan Conservatory in 2020. During those years, she learned drums, piano, tenora, and traditional singing. She specialises in two areas: cobla flabiol and traditional flabiol.
She has had the opportunity to perform in concert with the traditional Poitou music ensemble Ciac Boum, was a member of Cobla Les Casenoves for five years, and is currently a member of Cobla Mil·lenària. Building on this background, she decided to pursue studies in cobla flabiol at ESMUC (Catalonia College of Music) and won the Josep Maria Bernat Scholarship competition (for young cobla instrumentalists). In addition, she plays with Jutglars, a traditional folk group from Northern Catalonia.
Currently, she teaches flabiol and early childhood music education (ages 3 to 6) at the Argelès music school.
BERNAT GARCÉS
Bernat Garcés (L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, 2003) began studying music at age 4 at EMMCA in L'Hospitalet and started playing piano at age 7. From an early age, he developed an interest in jazz repertoire. At 16, he began his studies at Taller de Músics in Barcelona, where he completed the professional preparatory program (COS). He is currently in his fourth year at ESMUC (Catalonia College of Music), majoring in jazz piano.
With various jazz ensembles, he has performed on stages such as Jamboree, the Talents Jazz festival at La Pedrera, Jazzaldia in San Sebastián, and Nova Jazz Cava in Terrassa, among others. Alongside his jazz work, he is a member of Trèvol, where he explores a repertoire that was deeply rooted in his musical upbringing through his father's influence. In Trèvol, beyond playing keyboards, he also sings and co-writes the band’s material.
MARTÍ FLETA
Martí Fleta (Sant Adrià de Besòs, 2004) completed up to the sixth year of the Professional Degree in trombone at the Badalona Conservatory. At the same time, he trained in jazz drumming at the Escola de Música Moderna de Badalona. From an early age, however, he developed a deep passion for traditional folk music, training concurrently at the Folk Summer Camp for Young Performers in the Pyrenees and with the JOCIT (Youth Catalan Orchestra of Traditional Instruments).
Continuing within the sphere of traditional music, he has been part of forward-thinking folk ensembles such as the Verge de Sosa quintet and OMAC Juvenil. On the live circuit, he fronted an alternative rock band in Barcelona’s underground scene and is currently the drummer for Filomena and Trèvol.
In terms of studio recordings, he has tracked drums for an EP by Piketa’s, two LPs by Trèvol, and one LP by Filomena. Additionally, he has contributed to recordings by Obeses, Willio, and the theater production Vai Via.
